SCHEDULE OF CLASSES in Wisconsin for 2011-2012Locations
FALL SESSION 2011TOPICS AND LESSONSGrades 3-5 Foundations in Physical Science
Concepts in science can be as simple as making a "two-loop airplane", as complex as the difference between speed and acceleration, as exciting as chemical reactions, or as serious as the effects of inertia on bike safety. These are just a few of the activities that are part of this fall's program designed to show that the ultimate foundation of physical science and all of science is the Word of God.Grades 6-8 Biological Science through Plant Studies
Many aspects of science illustrate the wisdom of God, but few display it more beautifully than the study of living plants. Students will learn not only how each part of a plant is functional, but also that it works in concert with every other part in coordinated acts of directed purpose. As the lesson titles show, plants can reveal how the Creator's love of diversity provides service and enjoyment for all. WINTER SESSION 2012TOPICS AND LESSONSGrades 3-5 Energy and Motion
Students in grades 3-5 certainly have energy, and in these lessons they get to use it in exciting and productive ways. Each class includes many hands on experiments designed to build an understanding of a variety of sources and uses of energy laws and patterns, put into creation by the source of all power, the Creator himself. They might get tired just thinking about it.Grades 6-8 Introduction to Chemistry - Part I
Colossians 1:16 says that God created all things visible and invisible. What better place to observe both than in the study of the chemical world, all the way from the dramatic effects of chemical changes in a test tube to the invisible but powerful forces of atomic structure. Through safe, directed experiments students will experience God's greatness magnified in ways for all to see. SPRING SESSION 2012TOPICS AND LESSONSGrades 3-5 Senses and Spring
God not only created a beautiful and exciting world, he also gave us the tools to enjoy and use it. In each lesson students will use their own senses to discover how they work and how they can be kept healthy for years to come. Stereovision, echolocation, and olfactory I.D.s are just a few of the methods used to encourage new appreciation of our daily gifts, and all ending with the sheer enjoyment of the coming spring.Grades 6-8 Introduction to Chemistry - Part II
The Periodic Table may look imposing, but it is a vivid example of how God displays his design, plan and purpose through the world of chemistry. That concept is further explored through safe experiments on acid-base properties, hydrogen generation, antacid evaluation, and organic compounds. From molecular models to kitchen (and garden) chemistry the diversity of God's atomic building blocks can be appreciated with joy. Email us at instructor-at-creationinsights.com
